Skills

Usable during projects and assignments

I learned different skills during my study which I master in various degrees. I have a strong preference for skills which are needed for designing presentation materials. These are skills such as programming, drawing and graphic design. This page shows various assignments I have made within the disciplines just described.

Drawing

Exploded view Bicycle light - Hand drawn

Playstation controller - Hand drawn

Diverse materials - Digital drawn

Toaster - Digital drawn

I can make product drawings by hand as well as digital. However, I do have a little preference for digital drawing, because I have more options according colours. Next to this, it works faster than hand drawing.

Website Programming

Programming websites is a welcome challenge for me. This portfolio website is self-made using HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Next to this I programmed the website for the project ‘’Culture Hubs’’ – Can be found on the ‘’Projects’’ page. On this site a diagram can be found where text, pictures and video’s pop-up when hovering over the icons.

The site from the ‘’Culture Hubs’’ project can be found via the button below.

App Design

For testing user interfaces I like to make use of the program Figma. In this program it is possible to make realistic prototypes. These prototypes can be uploaded on a mobile phone for testing or presentation purposes. Below two interfaces are linked which I made for a variety of assignments. The first button directs to a prototype of a travel app. The second interface is an elaboration on the ‘’Share-scooter-service’’ from the company TIER.

3D-CAD models help with presenting a realistic end product or prototype. When making nice renders after modelling the models look very realistic. The playground – visible in the slideshow above – is modelled on a flexible way. Various dimensions can be changed, so the playground can be adapted to the clients wishes. The button below shows an animation I made of the playground.

Knowledge of graphic design comes in handy for making presentation materials in the broadest sense. You can, for instance, present yourself in the form of business cards or make a lay-out for a magazine. For these designs I make use of the programs Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Sketchbook. Of course I also use a lot of my own creativity.
